Paneer Stuffed Idli - Instant Paneer Idli
Paneer idli is an amazing variation to make idli recipe. Everyone likes paneer(cottage cheese) and can make it really easily and with very basic and easily available ingredients. Make it anytime you want to have a quick snack or serve them in breakfast. These spongy vegetable paneer idlis makes a healthy meal.kids likes very much this recipe.
How to Make Paneer Stuffed Idli:

Ingredients:
For batter:
Wheat -1 cup
Boiled rice/parboiled rice- 1 cup
Urad dal (split black gram)- half cup
Salt- 1 teaspoon
For stuffing:
Paneer (Cottage cheese)-200gm
Oil-1 tablespoon
Onion- 1 (Small size)
Green chili-1 (optional)
Salt- ¼ teaspoon
Chat masala- ½ teaspoon
Preparation:
For batter:

For Stuffing:
Grate the paneer. keep aside.Chop onion and green chili into small pieces. Keep aside.Take fry pan, put oil, when it starts to smoke add chopped onion and fry it on high flame, add green chili, stir it and fry it till light golden color appears.Add salt and chaat masala and grated paneer; fry for couple of minutes , put off the flame stuffing is ready, let it cool.Take spoonful of stuffing and make them ball. Keep aside.
Method:
Using steamer:
Grease idli mould with oil. Then add paneer stuffing on top of it. Now add a tablespoon of batter again on top. Make sure that everything is totally covered.Pour idli batter in the holes. Place in a steamer, and cook for 15-20 minutes. Remove from heat. Leave to cool down slightly. Open steamer, and remove idli from the moulds. Repeat with the rest of the batter.
Using rice cooker:
Grease idli mould with oil.Then add paneer stuffing on top of it. Now add a tablespoon of batter again on top. Make sure that everything is totally covered. Pour idli batter in the holes.Pour some water(approximately 2 cups) in rice cooker squeeze 2 to 3 drops of lime juice.Place the idli moulds in rice cooker,Cook for 20 minutes and remove outside,serve hot with chutney.
Using Microwave:
Apply oil on the microwave idli container and Then add paneer stuffing on top of it. Now add a tablespoon of batter again on top. Make sure that everything is totally covered.pour idli batter into the moulds.Set the microwave for 3 minutes on medium power.When the idlis are prepared, with a help of a knife/Spoon,remove them from the microwave idli container and transfer in a serving bowl,serve hot with chutney.
Tips:
- To make instant paneer idli recipe make instant idli batter and make same stuffing.
- The instant stuffed idli batter consistency is very important. it should not be too thick nor too runny.
